We know one of the biggest rivalries in sports is the Baltimore Ravens and the Pittsburgh Steelers. For the most part, they leave it on the field. However, Ravens’ head coach John Harbaugh and Steelers’ quarterback Ben Roethlisberger recently shared a very awkward hug at Miami University.
According to CBS Sports, the two were in Oxford, Ohio (Yes we realize it’s called Miami University) to unveil its new $14 million indoor sports facility. Both donated some funds to the new facility with Big Ben’s reported donation hitting the $1 million mark.
This isn’t a random donation by any means.
Harbaugh graduated from Miami in 1984, Roethisberger in 2004. Big Ben left the school early to enter the NFL draft in 2004. He didn’t officially graduate until 2012.
The last time these two were within a mile of one another was January 3rd when the Baltimore Ravens beat the Steelers in the wild card round of the NFL Playoffs.
So the awkwardness keeps getting more awkward.
