Report: Bills Sign Percy Harvin

The Buffalo Bills continue to add athleticism and talent in their remake of what has been a below average offense over the years.

Fresh off trading for LeSean McCoy, ESPN’s Adam Schefter is reporting that the team has signed wide receiver Percy Harvin to a one-year contract.

While the terms of the deal are not yet known, the expectation has to be that it’s going to be incentive laden.

Harvin, 26, was traded to the New York Jets from the Seattle Seahawks during the 2014 campaign. He proceeded to catch just 29 passes for 350 yards and a score in eight games with the Jets. This came on the heels of Seattle yielding a first-round pick and change to the Minnesota Vikings for Harvin’s services prior to the start of the 2013 season.

Always seen as a dynamic athlete, injuries and character concerns have kept Harvin from realizing his full potential. He hasn’t played a full 16 games since 2011, and was jettisoned from the two-time defending NFC champions following rumors of discord in the locker room.

Harvin’s best season came back in 2011 when he racked up 87 receptions, 1,312 total yards and eight scores. He should act a solid addition to a Bills passing game that already futures Sammy Watkins, Robert Woods and a solid pass-catching running back in McCoy.
