Report: 49ers, Saints Among Those Reggie Bush is Interested in

Former Detroit Lions running back Reggie Bush finds himself among many other running backs who will be switching teams this upcoming season. It is reported by NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport that Bush may consider a return to the New Orleans Saints.

Along with the Saints, Bush is reportedly considering the San Francisco 49ers and New England Patriots. However, a return to the Saints would have Bush working back on familiar ground where he was originally drafted and spent his first five seasons. A former first-round draft pick by the Saints in 2006, Bush put up a total of 2,090 rushing yards and 17 touchdowns with the team. He also piled up 2,142 receiving yards and 12 touchdowns through the air.

A reunion with his former quarterback Drew Brees could have Bush revitalizing his career as he winds it down at the age of 30.

San Francisco has a hole to fill due to the departure of Frank Gore to the Indianapolis Colts. In addition to this, New England is looking to replace Shane Vereen, who signed with the New York Giants.
