While injuries are inevitable in sports, it appears that strange injuries are the name of the game today.
Not too long after Ronald Belisario fractured his shoulder getting out of a swimming pool, Pittsburgh Pirates outfielder Corey Hart sliced his foot open on a hot tub.
Games haven’t even started yet for Spring Training.
According to the Pittsburgh Tribune’s Rob Biertempfel, the injury caused Hart to receive three stitches. We don’t know if this will cause Hart to sit out for any games yet, but it seems as though this is only a minor injury.
The hot tub was unavailable for comment.
