NFL to Broadcast a Game on a Digital Platform for the First Time

An early NFL London game that will take place on October 25 at 9:30 a.m. ET where the Jacksonville Jaguars and Buffalo Bills compete will be streamed over a digital platform worldwide.

This will mark the first time ever that an NFL game will be able to be viewed online live.

According to the reports, the game will be able to be watched in local markets in Jacksonville and Buffalo, but the remainder of the world will be viewing it from some type of online device (via the Florida Times-Union).

At this time it is not known what internet venue will broadcast the game. Though, it is reported that that DirecTV’s NFL Sunday Ticket will not be the platform for which the game is streamed.

The Bills and Jaguars do not make history very often, so it is worth taking note that this game might be the cornerstone of a new revolution for how we view NFL games at some point in the not-so-distant future.

This particular London game kicks off at Wembly Stadium at 9:30 a.m. ET, which means most folks on the West coast will not even be awake, while some or all of that game plays out.
