WATCH: Chris Matthews’ First NFL Reception is Beautiful

Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Chris Matthews made headlines in the NFC Championship game when he recovered an onside kick with his team down against the Green Bay Packers late in the game.

Prior to the Super Bowl, the former un-drafted rookie free agent from Kentucky had not caught a single NFL pass.

That changed with this dramatic catch, which helped Seattle drive down the field for a game-tying touchdown late in the second quarter.

What a stage for Matthews to make his first NFL catch.

A few plays later, Marshawn Lynch would take it in from three yards out to tie the game up at seven.

H/T SB Nation for the GIF
