Report: Trent Richardson Didn’t Travel with the Colts to Foxborough

Despite Indianapolis Colts’ running back Trent Richardson’s insistence that he “won’t be benched again”, he reportedly didn’t travel with his team for its matchup against the New England Patriots at Gillette Stadium.

While the specific reason is yet to be known, the fact that the former No. 1 draft pick won’t be present at the Colts’ most important playoff game of the postseason is concerning. This most recent Richardson absence follows his mysterious benching just shortly before the Colts took the field in Denver last week.

Once again, the Colts will rely upon Daniel “Boom” Herron with Zurlon Tipton serving as the backup. Herron has proven himself not only in the run game, but also in blocking and catching passes. He’s been a valuable asset to quarterback Andrew Luck for quite a few weeks now.

While Richardson watches the big game at home, we’ll have to wonder should the Colts pull off a win, will Richardson even attend the Super Bowl?
