LeBron James Addresses Talk of him Leaving Cleveland

LeBron James Isaiah Thomas

Cleveland Cavaliers forward LeBron James decided to address rumors that he will opt out of his contract following the 2014-2015 season.

James had this to say following the team’s 16-point loss to the Milwaukee Bucks, the second consecutive game that the NBA champion has sat out with knee soreness.

I’m here to build, build something great in the present and the future, and that’s the reason I’m back. I’ve got no other reason to have to continue to talk about things that’s so outlandish. So, I’m here, this is where I’ll be, and this is where I’m comfortable.

The talks comes on the heels of a horrible stretch of performances by the Cavaliers, including a blowout loss to a bad Detroit Pistons squad.

But the idea that James, who received a ton of negative feedback the first time he left Cleveland, actually moving on from the Cavaliers next offseason, does seem to be a bit ridiculous. Ever since he’s arrived in Cleveland, James has been open about this being a process, one that’s not going lead to the Cavaliers being instant NBA championship contenders. He seemed to know these struggles were inevitable.
