John Harbaugh Calls Bill Belichick Greatest Coach of our Generation

Despite the allegations that the Baltimore Ravens tipped off the Indianapolis Colts that the New England Patriots were allegedly using under-inflated footballs, Ravens coach John Harbaugh shows he has nothing but high praise for Bill Belichick.

While preparing for the Pro Bowl, Harbaugh told NFL Media’s Omar Ruiz that he believes he’s the best coach of the century.

He’s been a great mentor, a great friend. I have the utmost respect for him. Bill Belichick is the greatest coach of our generation, without question. I don’t think anybody would doubt that. Nothing is going to change that.

He’s the toughest guy we have to go against every single year game plan-wise and trying to beat his team. They have a great team, they’re where they deserve to be, they’re where they belong and I just consider him my friend.

If these words may seem familiar it’s because they are. It’s similar to what Harbaugh said of Belichick three years ago prior to the AFC Championship game. Both coaches have been news topics lately because Harbaugh took issue with Belichick’s “deceptive” use of ineligible receivers in the divisional playoffs.

Putting aside accusations of illegal formations and deflated footballs, Harbaugh’s loyalty to Belichick, who recommended him to Ravens’ owner Steve Bisciotti for the head coaching job seven years ago, doesn’t appear to be a problem.
