J.R. Smith: When in Doubt, Shoot the Ball

THIS is what the Cleveland Cavaliers are in store for as the season progresses. Two days after acquiring a shoot-first wing player in J.R. Smith, the veteran made his Cavaliers debut Wednesday night against the Houston Rockets.

But before he even took a step on the court in Cleveland, Smith made his intentions pretty clear.

That’s vintage J. R Smith right there.

While Smith headlined the package that came back to Cleveland in exchange for Dion Waiters moving on to the Oklahoma City Thunder, an underrated Iman Shumpert might end up being the biggest prize for LeBron James and Co.

As it relates to Smith, he was shooting about 40 percent from the field while attempting 10.5 shots in 25.8 minutes per game prior to the trade.
