Indianapolis Colts running back Trent Richardson has seen his career diminish over the course of the 2014 season. And now he is officially listed as an “inactive” for Sunday’s game against the Denver Broncos.
Talk about a downhill ride for Richardson, who was just reduced to punt return activities earlier this week. In a crucial game for the Colts, the fact that Richardson is a healthy scratch, leads us to think that this could be his last season as a member of the Colts.
Over the course of the 2014 season, Richardson put up just 519 yards and three scores while averaging barely over three yards per attempt.
Some reports indicate that the healthy scratch is due to Richardson being overweight, but that’s just speculation at this point.
