Aaron Hernandez Jurors Allowed to Watch the Super Bowl

The Aaron Hernandez murder trial started on Thursday, and it appears that the judge overseeing the trial is going to be a bit lenient when it comes to the jury.

Normally, jurors are asked to avoid everything that can be considered related to the trial from a media perspective. While we have no idea how much NBC will discuss the trial on its broadcast of the Super Bowl, the assumption has to be that it will be brought up with Hernandez’s former team playing.

Jurors are directed to leave the room if the broadcast does bring up the Hernandez trial. Though, wouldn’t the mute button be just as effective?
