West Virginia, Florida Players Injured in Drive-By Shooting

West Virginia wide receiver Jacky Marcellus and Florida cornerback J.C. Jackson were shot in an apparent drive-by shooting in Florida on Christmas Eve.

Details are sketchy, but Marcellus was shot in the back while another bullet grazed off Jackson’s eyelid. Both were released from the hospital on Friday.

Marcellus and Jackson were joined in the car by the former’s older brother, who also suffered a gunshot wound. It appears that the three had led the car pass them prior to the other vehicle shooting at them.

No arrests have been made in the shooting.
