South Carolina RB’ Mike Davis to Enter NFL Draft

The 2015 NFL draft class is going to be absolutely stacked at running back, a position that just got deeper with the announcement that South Carolina star Mike Davis will forgo his senior season.

At 5’9″ and 216 pounds, Davis entered his junior season as one of the top running backs in the nation. But he has struggled through an up-and-down campaign that has seen him put up less than 1,000 yards heading into South Carolina’s Independence Bowl matchup with Miami.

With the likes of Todd Gurley and Melvin Gordon expected to head a deep running back class this year, there are a whole host of running backs who could add value on Day 2. Davis likely joins that group, which includes T.J. Yeldon and Duke Johnson.
