DeMarco Murray to Have Surgery on Broken Bone in Hand

This came out of absolutely nowhere.

According to 105.3 the Fan in Texas, Dallas Cowboys Vice President Stephen Jones indicated that star running back DeMarco Murray will have surgery on a broken bone in his hand on Monday.

It’s not clear when Murray suffered the injury in Sunday night’s win against the Philadelphia Eagles, but this has to be of utmost concern for a Cowboys team that likely needs to win its final two games to guarantee itself a playoff spot.

Jones did go on to indicate that Murray has not been ruled out of Sunday’s game against the Indianapolis Colts.

Murray, who is in the midst of a breakout season, has put up 2,082 total yards and 11 touchdowns through 14 games. Needless to say, the Cowboys need him on the field from here on out.
