DeSean Jackson Seemingly Calls out Teammates

To say that the Washington Redskins are in disarray right now would be one of the biggest understatements of the NFL season. Shortly after being booed off the field by the fans at home on Sunday, Redskins players figured it made sense to throw shots at one another in the media.

First it was quarterback Robert Griffin III, who while taking responsibility for the team’s loss, also threw some of his teammates under the bus.

It takes 11 men. It doesn’t take one guy. That’s proven. The great QBs — the Peytons and Aaron Rodgers. They don’t play well if their guys don’t play well. They don’t. We need everybody. I need every one of those guys in that locker room. And I know they’re looking at me saying the same thing.

Outside of the fact that RGIII is completely wrong here. Elite quarterbacks do play well when the rest of their team is struggling. That’s what makes them elite. It was pretty much an exercise in looking in the mirror and blaming those standing behind your shoulder.

Redskins wide receiver DeSean Jackson apparently didn’t like what RGIII had to say in his postgame presser. The enigmatic veteran posted the following photo on the social media site Instagram.

While we have no idea who this was directed at, it’s safe to assume Jackson was indeed calling out some of his teammates, RGIII included.

Washington fell to the previously one-win Tampa Bay Buccaneers by the score of 27-7 on Sunday. That dropped its record to 3-7 on the campaign. Now playing out the stretch with no hope of making the playoffs, it will be interesting to see what happens to Washington on the field and in the locker room over the final six games of the season.
