MLB Postpones Game 3 of ALCS

With heavy rain expected to take over the Kansas City area on Monday night, MLB has postponed Game 3 of the ALCS between the Royals and Baltimore Orioles.

The starters for Game 3, who were originally slated to go on Monday night, will now pitch on Tuesday. This means that neither Baltimore or Kansas City decided to change up their rotation for the all-important Game 3 matchup with the Royals leading the series 2-0.

Wei-Yin Chen will take the bump for Baltimore, while Kansas City will go with Jeremy Guthrie.

Now that Game 5 is slated to be played on Thursday, there will be no off day for these teams that day. So if the Orioles are able to capture at least two games in Kansas City, the teams will hook up in Baltimore for Game 6 on Friday as scheduled.

It also means that both league championship series will play games three-through-five on the same day.
