LeBron James Oversells Cavaliers Season Opener

The city of Cleveland will be rocking Thursday night with the return home of LeBron James after Ohio’s native son spent four seasons with the Miami Heat.

And if you ask James, the importance of this night is right up there with among the biggest sporting events we have witnessed.

None of us should take this moment for granted,” James said following the Cavaliers’ morning shootaround at The Q. “This is probably one of the biggest sporting events ever.

No it isn’t, Lebron.

It’s one of 82 games he will be playing for the Cavaliers before likely leading the team to the playoffs. And while this might be a big game for the city of Cleveland, I can count one specific sporting event that took place Wednesday night in Kansas City that makes LeBron’s return to the Cavaliers feel more like a 60-and-older Canadian curling match.
