Legendary New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady is 37-years-old and the team just drafted a new rookie quarterback, which has led to numerous discussions about when he plans to retire.

Brady, who didn’t mince any words about how long he plans to play, had this to say as reported by the Boston Globe (h/t NFL.com).
I love playing for this team and I love representing this team and hopefully I can do that for as long as I can. When I suck, I’ll retire. But I don’t plan on sucking for a long time.
That’s about as plain and simple as you get with an answer when it comes to that looming Tom Brady retirement question. Brady has indicated that he would love to play at least until he turns 40, which is also when his current contract concludes. As long as Brady is performing at the expert level he has been for years, he likely won’t be letting rookie backup quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo see much of the playing field anytime soon, which does suck for him.
