New York Yankees outfielder Jacoby Ellsbury thought he had a bases clearing double after he launched a ball to deep center against the Detroit Tigers on Monday evening. New Tigers center fielder Ezequiel Carrera, who is replacing the recently traded Austin Jackson, had other ideas.

It’s unknown whether Carrera actually held on to the baseball as he went sliding into the warning track dirt, but the call stayed as an out.

In any event, this has to be one of the top-10 plays in baseball this year.
