Texans’ Andre Johnson and Arian Foster Return to Practice

The Houston Texans got wide receiver Andre Johnson and running back Arian Foster back this week to practice, which is a much-needed relief after Houston’s pitiful 32-0 loss to the Arizona Cardinals in its preseason opener.

Johnson has been out since the beginning days of training camp nursing an injured hamstring he suffered while making a catch in practice. Foster, likewise, has missed nearly all of training camp to a supposed hamstring injury as well. According to the Houston Chronicle, Foster and Johnson returned to practice in pads against the Falcons today.

With both practicing, they stand a shot at playing against the Falcons in Saturday’s game. While neither Johnson or Foster will likely play more than a few drives, just their presence on the field should provide a big morality boost to an already scrambling offense.

We’ll see if the Texans fair any better in their second preseason game than they did last week. If the team remains scoreless once again, it might be time for concern.
