Bills’ Sammy Watkins Expected to be Ready for Week 1

This is great news to be hearing from the Buffalo Bills’ camp. They expect their rookie wide receiver Sammy Watkins, who suffered a rib injury, to be ready for Week 1 against the Chicago Bears.

As reported by NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport, Watkins exited Thursday night’s preseason game against the Lions with an injury to his ribs

This is the second time Watkins has injured his ribs during the preseason.

So far this preseason due to Watkins’ injuries and lack of chemistry from the Bills starting quarterback E.J. Manuel, the former Clemson star hasn’t really had the opportunity to showcase his true skills live and in action. Let’s hope the Bills’ first-round draft pick, whom they acquired from the Cleveland Browns for next year’s first-round pick, pans out during the regular season. Week 1 against the Bears would be a fantastic place to start.

For those who have taken a chance on the rookie for fantasy football, Watkins getting healthy and back on track is definitely on the check list.
