The 2013 Detroit Tigers didn’t win the American League or the World Series. They’re only claim to fame last season was the American League Central championship. In addition to defeating the Oakland Athletics in the ALDS, that’s the only time Detroit found itself able to celebrate a “championship” throughout the season.
