Star Wars is almost as American as baseball. You can see this by taking a gander at all the Star Wars-themed events around MLB this season. But no one took it any further than than Arizona Diamondbacks announcers Bob Brenly and Steve Berthiaume prior to their game against the Chicago Cubs on Sunday.
I have to say, the Chewbacca get-up is darn nifty right here.
From postgame Star Wars-themed fireworks to Darth Vader throwing out first pitches, MLB seems to be in the midst of a love affair with one of the greatest movie franchises in history. Though, we are still waiting for a Princess Leia appreciation night.
