Seahawks’ WR Percy Harvin Not Thrilled About Last Season

Seattle Seahawks’ wide receiver Percy Harvin may hold a beautiful Super Bowl ring, but competing in just one regular season game leading up the the Super Bowl doesn’t sit well with him.

Harvin told KCPQ-TV’s Aaron Levine his thoughts regarding his first season with the Seahawks (h/t NFL.com).

A lot of people were asking me, did (the Super Bowl) kind of make the season for me? And it did, but not at all. I was brought to this team to make plays throughout the season, and I wasn’t able to do that.

Unfortunately for Harvin, he injured his hip last preseason. Then when he finally returned to play with the Seahawks, he suffered a concussion during the playoffs. His lowly 2013 stat line consists of three carries for 54 yards and five catches for 43 yards.

His one saving grace was a dynamic play during the Super Bowl where he returned a 87-yard kickoff at the beginning of the second half, causing the Broncos to fall further behind in what ended up being a Seahawks blowout.

Yes, this is a gorgeous ring, but I can see how Harvin doesn’t exactly feel like he wholeheartedly earned it.
