Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman isn’t a stranger to off-field antics and controversy. So it shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise that the defending Super Bowl champion has unleashed yet another verbal attack in the direction of San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Michael Crabtree.
Sherman had this to say on a new Discovery Channel documentary called “American Muscle.” (h/t CSN Bay Area).
I hope to play him every year for the rest of my career and choke him out,” Sherman says. “There’s not much else I can say about the subject. Nobody will understand it but him and me. That’s all that needs to understand.
Never afraid of making controversial remarks, these new words directed at Crabtree seem to be nothing more than a way to get into the head of the wide receiver. Unfortunately, Sherman didn’t choose his words carefully here.
You don’t need us to explain what Sherman’s comments mean. We will leave that up to the imagination.
The Seahawks and 49ers will face eachother twice during the regular season this year, including a Thanksgiving night matchup in Santa Clara. Get your popcorn ready, guys and gals.
