Report: Mavericks Sign Chandler Parsons to Offer Sheet

According to various reports, the Dallas Mavericks have signed Houston Rockets forward Chandler Parsons to a three-year, $46 million offer sheet. Dallas showed interest in Carmelo Anthony earlier this offseason, but seem ready to move on to another high-profile free agent option.

Parsons, a second-round pick of the Rockets back in 2011, put up 16.6 points per game for the Rockets in 2013-2014.

Houston has a three-day window to match the Mavericks offer, but will have to think long and hard about what other free agents it might look to add in the meantime. Remember, it has an offer on the table to Miami Heat power forward Chris Bosh.

If the Rockets don’t match this offer, Dallas would have a darn good frontcourt in Dirk Nowitzki, Tyson Chandler and Parsons.
