Patriots Clarify Text Messages Between Belichick and Hernandez

A report that came out earlier this month indicated that there were 34 pages of text messages between New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick and alleged triple murderer Aaron Hernandez. That’s a whole lot of text messages between a player and coach.

The Patriots, who are usually very tight lipped about speaking publicly in relation to internial issues, released a statement on Friday about the reported text messages.

That’s a big difference right there.

New England is yet to indicate what the text messages might be about, but that’s probably best left up to the court records at this point. We do know that there will be a watchful eye on these pieces of evidence, as some will look for any possible way to point the finger in New England’s direction as it relates to Hernandez.

Is it normal for coaches and players to text? That depends heavily on the communication methods a coach uses when it comes to his players. Don’t expect to find much incriminating evidence against the Patriots and Belichick when this information is released to the public.
