Giants’ Tom Coughlin Annoyed With WR Odell Beckham’s Injury

Rookie wide receiver Odell Beckham has missed his fourth consecutive day of practice due to a lingering hamstring injury and New York Giants head coach Tom Coughlin is becoming annoyed.

The New York Giants’ first-round draft pick, Beckham is who the team chose to help get their struggling quarterback Eli Manning get back on track. So far, Beckham hasn’t had much opportunity to impress his new team as he already had missed several practices during OTA’s and minicamps because of the severity of the hamstring injury.

When asked about the whole situation and his disappointment, Coughlin had this to say to ESPN (h/t NFL.com).

It’s more than that. We’re trying to put a team together. We saw too much of that in the spring.

Coughlin clarified things up a bit, claiming that he is not frustrated with Beckham directly, but with the lengthy nature of his injury. With just six weeks until the first week of the regular season, it would appear Coughlin is growing less patient by the day. Further tests have been scheduled Beckham, which will hopefully return a positive outlook and bring peace of mind to Coughlin.
