Giants’ QB Eli Manning Feeling Re-Energized By New Offense

Changes are on the horizon for the New York Giants under the influence of Ben McAdoo, their newly appointed offensive coordinator. Quarterback Eli Manning ,who struggled beyond words in 2013, appeared to be drinking the Kool Aid when he discussed how he felt about the new system.

Manning, who was forced to do his homework to learn the new offense, had this to say to the New York Daily News (h/t NFL.com).

It’s re-energized me. I’m trying to speed up the process of getting comfortable in the new system. I don’t have 10 years. I have a few months.

Upon healing from offseason ankle surgery, Manning has had some time to work out with rookie wide receiver Odell Beckham, whom the Giants hope will help him return to the normalcy he lacked last season.

Regarding route tossing with Beckham, Manning commented that it was “good to get some one-on-one time here“.

Will a new offense and coordinator keep Manning from a repeat performance of his horrific 27 interceptions from 2013? I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt and say his numbers improve a bit from last season. If they don’t, it might be time for Manning to throw in the towel.

I’m in the minority that thinks Eli Manning is going to do his thing this year

At least, Manning still has those two rings to quiet critics.
