According to Marc Spears over at Yahoo, the Toronto Raptors plan on offering soon-to-be free agent point guard Kyle Lowry a huge contract at about 12:15 AM ET Tuesday morning in an attempt to keep him off the market.

Lowry, who has been linked to the defending Eastern Conference champion Miami Heat, had a breakout 2013-2014 campaign with the Raptors. He averaged 17.9 points, 3.6 rebounds and 7.4 assists per game, which was one of the primary reasons that Toronto earned a surprise trip to the postseason.
It remains to be seen whether Lowry will accept it or test the open market.
