Report: Jim Irsay’s Drivers License Suspended for a Year

Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay won’t be driving around in his truck anytime soon. Under Indiana state law, a one-year ban from driving is a requirement for those who refuse to submit to a drug test at the time of the incident.

According to Pro Football Talk, Irsay still faces discipline from the league.

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell has confirmed that Irsay is subject to league discipline, but there’s no word yet on what that discipline will entail, or when it will be handed down.

The irony in Irsay having his license taken away is real. Do you really think he’s going to have any issue getting around the city of Indianapolis? Unlike most DUI/DWI offenders, Irsay can pretty much afford to staff about five full-time chauffeurs to be on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

What a dramatic punishment this is for the Indianapolis Colts owner.
