"More White People Believe in Ghosts Than Racisim," Says Kareem Abdul-Jabbar

I can’t make this stuff up. According to basketball legend, Kareem Abdul Jabbar, speaking on the Donald Sterling controversy, indicates that it’s ghosts more than racism that whites are likely to believe in.

Further reported by the Huffington Post, Abdul Jabbar had this to say:

I did a little bit of research. More whites believe in ghosts than believe in racism,” Abdul-Jabbar said on ABC’s “This Week.” “That’s why we have shows like Ghostbusters and don’t have shows like Racistbuster.

And, if you’ve been on a desert island over the past couple of weeks, Abdul-Jabbar is speaking on the leaked recorded racist remarks that Los Angeles Clippers owner, Donald Sterling allegedly made to his lady-friend, V. Stiviano, which indicated that he didn’t want to see her bringing people like Magic Johnson to his basketball games.

Sterling has since been banned for life from the NBA and likely will be forced to sell the team. So, I’m thinking the NBA commissioner is the “Racistbuster” in this situation.

When asked by host George Stephanopoulos about his time working with the Clippers and Sterling back in 2000, Abdul-Jabbar didn’t seem to have any idea of Sterling being racist.
