Los Angeles Dodgers infielder Dee Gordon swiped two more bases against the Philadelphia Phillies on Sunday afternoon and now has 30 steals on the season. This puts him on pace to collect 95 stolen bases throughout the course of the season, a number that would represent the most since Rickey Henderson tallied 93 for the New York Yankees in 1988.
After a leadoff walk, Dee Gordon steals 2nd base. Of course. An @MLB leading 30 in 2014. #Dodgers

Gordon’s previous single-season high was 32 back in 2012. And he might very well challenge for the 90-plus stolen base mark. This season represents the first time since that 2012 season that he is considered a starter, though he did only only play in 87 games that year.
