Brandon Marshall Inks Three-Year Extension with the Chicago Bears

Chicago Bears wide receiver Brandon Marshall just signed a three-year contract extension while sitting with Jenny McCarthy and the ladies of ABC’s television talk show “The View.”

More importantly, the reason Marshall along with his wife Michi Marshall were on “The View” is because May is Mental Health Awareness Month.

According to the Chicago Bears website…

During his appearance on “The View,” Marshall pulled out his contract and signed it. He was on the show with his wife in conjunction with Mental Health Awareness Month and pledged to make a $1 million donation to the mental health community.

This cause is important to Marshall because he has been diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder. Marshall has since created a foundation in order to make more people aware of mental illness and provide proper education to the public.

Marshall has been with the NFL since being drafted by the Denver Broncos in 2006 where he has accumulated 9,050 receiving yards and 57 touchdowns over the course of his eight-year career. His contract extension will take him through the 2017 season.
