Tiger Woods announced he’s had back surgery and will miss the Masters next week. There’s a joke to be made about Lindsay Vonn busting up Woods with her skies, but we’ll leave that alone. Also, this is not an April Fool’s Day joke as it’s been confirmed.
This is a huge loss for the Masters and golf in general. Even though Tiger won more tournaments and more money in 2013 than any other player, the common fan thinks he’s declining. The only way to get those fans back on his side, is to win majors. None are bigger than the Masters.
The Masters will miss you Tiger
As golfchannel.com chronicles, Tiger has been dealing with injuries the past few years. Knee surgery, Achilles surgery, back spasms, nine-iron to the grill, and now back surgery. Perhaps this is what Tiger needs to get it straightened out.
Or maybe this is the end of the Tiger we all loved to watch win by 15 strokes.
