Stop The Insanity: MJD Thinks Matt Schaub Can Take Team To Super Bowl?

It’s really hard to type while you’re dying of hysterical laughter, but I’ve got to report the news from the Raiders’ camp. We all know that running back, Maurice Jones-Drew (MJD) was recently signed by the Raiders as was quarterback Matt Schaub. Apparently, MJD has the utmost faith in his new leader.

Per this Sports Illustrated article MJD had this to say:

“You can definitely [make the Super Bowl with Matt Schaub at quarterback],” Jones-Drew said during an interview on Sirius’ Mad Dog Sports Radio. “[Schaub] has something to prove this year. I know Matt Schaub is a guy who can lead us.”

The California air or the Santa Ana winds must be causing MJD to have delusional thoughts. Is he talking about the 34th ranked quarterback from 2013 with the upside-down ratio of 10 touchdowns to 14 interceptions, and the record number of games with back to back pick sixes? Or is MJD discussing the quarterback with a 2-6 win/loss record from 2013?

Either way, it’s the same quarterback, and that guy is Matt Schaub. Perhaps MJD is also convinced that fellow back Darren McFadden will also stay healthy all 16 games?

As you can see the general public has the same consensus as Nick Cage, Conan O’Brian and Emma Watson.

This is completely too whacky to comprehend or take seriously. Is it possible MJD is just having some post-April Fool’s Day fun?

Or…
