NFL Draft Crazy Talk Is Upon Us

It happens every single year. Ryan Nassib going to the Buffalo Bills in the top 10, remember that? How about the whole Robert Griffin III over Andrew Luck thing back in 2012? While that quieted down relatively quickly, it was still rather humorous when it was making the rounds.

On top of former Pittsburgh quarterback Tom Savage being considered a first-round pick and Teddy Bridgewater falling to the secound round, there are a few other dandies out there.

I’d love to find out who these executive are, because they likely won’t be holding a NFL job this time next year if they decide to take Taylor Lewan over Jake Matthews. That’s Darrius Heyward-Bey over Michael Crabtree type of bad right there.

I agree with my old friend Tyson on this one. In fact, I may now have to follow through with a commitment I made when the whole Savage love fest began earlier this month.

It’s equally as disturbing as it is thought provoking that Savage would land himself a spot on a NFL team before Bridgewater.

Even Brett Favre is face-palming, guys.

Even Brett Favre is face-palming, guys.

And then…

And then…

And then…

Did Bridgewater low-key run a cat-fighting ring in which unicorns were used as bait? Maybe it’s his voice on the Donald Sterling recording. Okay, that one makes little sense.

Or there is another explanation for this. Smokescreen after smokescreen. This has been the case every year around the time that the NFL draft gets going. Teams throw crap out to the media, who like sheep, pick it up and run with it. Hell, we’ve all been guilty of this.

In any event, the following WILL NOT happen.

Tom Savage over Teddy Bridgewater and Derek Carr.

Taylor Lewan over Jake Matthews.

And if it does, I will be the first to feast on some glorious crow, while locked up in some adult detention facility.
