It happens every single year. Ryan Nassib going to the Buffalo Bills in the top 10, remember that? How about the whole Robert Griffin III over Andrew Luck thing back in 2012? While that quieted down relatively quickly, it was still rather humorous when it was making the rounds.
On top of former Pittsburgh quarterback Tom Savage being considered a first-round pick and Teddy Bridgewater falling to the secound round, there are a few other dandies out there.
The Taylor Lewan hype is real. Just talked to a team that has him ranked ahead of Jake Matthews at tackle.

I’d love to find out who these executive are, because they likely won’t be holding a NFL job this time next year if they decide to take Taylor Lewan over Jake Matthews. That’s Darrius Heyward-Bey over Michael Crabtree type of bad right there.
I can’t wait until Tom Savage gets drafted in the first round, and his rating on Madden ends up being a 52.

I agree with my old friend Tyson on this one. In fact, I may now have to follow through with a commitment I made when the whole Savage love fest began earlier this month.
It also looks like I will be parachuting on to the Golden Gate bridge naked and with a Seahawks tattoo on my ass. Thanks, Tom Savage.

It’s equally as disturbing as it is thought provoking that Savage would land himself a spot on a NFL team before Bridgewater.
From what @TonyGrossi heard @caplannfl say, Derek Carr could be the first QB drafted and CLE's pick at 4. Wild. We're still 10 days away!

And then…
Both Mel Kiper Jr and Todd McShay say on NFL LIVE that Johnny Manziel will be the 1st QB selected in the NFL Draft. pic.twitter.com/8FevOjM23t
— NFL on ESPN (@ESPNNFL) April 28, 2014
And then…
McShay on Bridgewater: "I can't, like most ppl in the league, get that Pro Day out of my head." Calls it a "surprise" if Teddy went 1st rd.
— Evan Silva (@evansilva) April 28, 2014
And then…
Mike Mayock's updated list of top QBs in NFL Draft: (1) Manziel, (2) Bortles, (3) Carr, (4) Garoppolo, (5) Mettenberger (6) Bridgewater
— Jim Wyatt (@jwyattsports) April 28, 2014
Did Bridgewater low-key run a cat-fighting ring in which unicorns were used as bait? Maybe it’s his voice on the Donald Sterling recording. Okay, that one makes little sense.
Or there is another explanation for this. Smokescreen after smokescreen. This has been the case every year around the time that the NFL draft gets going. Teams throw crap out to the media, who like sheep, pick it up and run with it. Hell, we’ve all been guilty of this.
In any event, the following WILL NOT happen.
Tom Savage over Teddy Bridgewater and Derek Carr.
Taylor Lewan over Jake Matthews.
Me parachuting naked on to the Golden Gate Bridge.
And if it does, I will be the first to feast on some glorious crow, while locked up in some adult detention facility.
