We Know How Much MLB Proposals Cost, But How About Other Sports?

Everyone in sports has a love/hate relationship with in-game proposals. In the back of our minds we are always curious to know how much it costs to make these proposals a reality…well ask no longer…According to swimmingly.com, this how much each ballpark costs to pop those magical words.

The cheapest? The Pittsburgh Pirates, which is shocking considering how Andrew McCutchen proposed to his fiancee’ on The Ellen Show.

If you’re attending a basketball game, that will cost you a pretty penny as well to pop the question to your girlfriend. According to nba.com, at a Denver Nuggets game it will cost you $1,500 for the proposal. It includes: two Nugget dancers delivering your newly engaged fiancee’ flowers, a full page provided by Pepsi Vision with the names, dates, and congratulatory message, and a DVD recording of the proposal.

After researching many NFL teams, most of them do not allow messages on scoreboards. And if they do (specifically Atlanta Falcons), you have to be a season ticket holder in order to have that privilege. However with the San Diego Chargers, you are allowed a message on the scoreboard and it’ll cost you a $300 tax-deductible donation, and your request has to be submitted 3-4 weeks in advanced.

So monetarily, it’s not as much as most people may think. However, this writer (although a huge sports fan) does not find this romantic at all. However, to each his own I suppose.
