Brandon Spikes Proving Twitter Isn’t For Everyone

NFL players are notorious for going off on Twitter and social media. From Richie Incognito and Richard Sherman to Derrick Ward and Hamza Abdullah, these rants vary from intelligent and well rounded to idiotic and downright ludicrous. New Buffalo Bills linebacker Brandon Spikes has joined the latter group just recently.

Here is a weak reference to the amazing movie “12 Years a Slave,” which focuses on real American slavery of the 18th and 19th centuries. Spikes was tweeting about his four years as a member of the New England Patriots. Four years that didn’t go all too well for either the player or the team.

Maybe he should refrain from comparing the time he spent as a millionaire with the Patriots to one of the darkest eras in American history. Just a thought there.

I am pretty sure that Spikes wasn’t calling them those names when they were putting money into his picket by buying jerseys and the like.

Spikes gets a chance to redeem himself in the mind of the Patriots’ faithful twice this season as a member of the division rival Bills. It’s obvious he’s not doing himself many favors today.

Oh, one more thing…
