So About Those Angels…In The Outfield

Some teams might go a full week without making an error. Heck, the Boston Red Sox of 2006 went 17 games without a single error. Leave it to the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim (still correct?) to literally throw all logic up and down the diamond on one single play.

This is how it went down.

Miguel Cabrera walked. Catcher Hank Conger, not realizing that Miggy had actually walked, threw the ball over second base in an attempt to throw out Ian Kinsler. Center fielder Mike Trout’s throw back in missed the cut off man and landed into the glove of pitcher Hector Santiago, who threw it wildly to the plate and enabled Kinsler to score.

That’s three errors on one play.

If you’re going to blow it like that, why not do it in the most epic way possible? Kudos to the Angels, as Danny Glover would be proud.

So would Tommy John…
