Don Baylor’s Freak Injury Adds To Angels’ Injury Woes

If you haven’t seen a sports related television show in the past 18 hours, you’re either A) not a baseball fan, or B) lucky. The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim have been dealing with injuries for what seems like a decade. It’s one thing to have Albert Pujols and Josh Hamilton go down, but Don Baylor?! (see below)

WARNING!!!!!

As you can see in the video, the Angels can’t catch a break (pun sort-of intended). First, their highest played players get hurt (Pujols, Hamilton and Jared Weaver, all in 2013), now their hitting coach goes down via a fluke accident and a fractured right femur. An accident in which Baylor was being honored in front of the home crowd?

We can’t make this up.

What’s next? The ball kids down the foul lines? Hot dog vendors? Parking lot attendants?

Don’t tell us the Rally Monkey is headed to the DL at some point this year. That’s not something we can handle.
