Thanks in large part to a “bacon-themed uniform” presented by the Lehigh Valley IronPigs as well as the “Ghostbuster-themed uniforms the Toledo Mud Hens have recently introduced to the baseball world. What could possibly top that? Well, ask no further than the Fresno Grizzlies.
They decided to combine America’s Favorite Pastime with America’s favorite food: pizza. That’s right, you guessed it, the AAA affiliate of the San Francisco Giants will have uniforms themed after the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles on August 2nd. Following the game, fans will be able to place bids on these uniforms for auction in hopes of owning them. Cowabunga, I suppose is the most appropriate term to use.
And we know, the little child in you just giggled with joy.
