What Is Lowell Cohn’s End Game With Colin Kaepernick?

Imagine some 25 years ago if a middle-aged white man had the following to say about former Washington Redskins quarterback Doug Williams.

Colin Kaepernick is not an attractive personality. Usually he doesn’t say jack. And that’s not attractive. When he says jack — and more — he’s even less attractive.

This is exactly what Santa Rosa Press Democrat and 49ers beat guy Lowell Cohn had to say about quarterback Colin Kaepernick earlier in the month.

If we were to look back to the hypothetical situation of a Redskins beat writer saying the same thing about Williams, what conclusion would we draw 25 years after the fact? I am not race baiting here, it’s a serious question.

What makes Kaepernick so offensive to you, Mr. Cohn?

Why did you see it as a necessity to attack him on a personal level?

Who are you comparing Kaepernick to, maybe the prototypical white quarterback that had been the majority during your long tenure as a writer?

Kaepernick’s mother, Teresa actually raises an important point herself.

In the end, Cohn should have to answer for this and the following.
