Lovie Smith Not Sold on Tampa Bay Buccaneers Roster

As is the case with most new head coaches, Buccaneers head man Lovie Smith doesn’t appear to see a ton of great fits on his team for the scheme that he plans on implementing. This might indicate somewhat of a overhaul, especially on the defensive side of the ball. Could this mean Darrelle Revis is on his way out?

We aren’t entirely too sure about that. One thing is for sure, you can expect a more aggressive defense from the Buccaneers in 2014. As you remember, Smith led a hard-hitting, blitz-style unit with the Bears in Chicago.

According to the Tampa Tribune, Smith didn’t shy away from indicating that changes were on the way…

We have systems that we want to run and this roster wasn’t set up with our systems in mind…Not that it’s going to be that different, but we have some changes we have to make.

One of these changes might be the addition of Michael Bennett, who Brad Biggs over at the Chicago Tribune indicated Tampa Bay may be able to sign as early as tomorrow.

Until then, it’s all speculation.
