Jerry Jones Apologizes For Comments He Made About DeMarcus Ware

Ware and his agent made one final attempt with the Cowboys, as they asked Jerry Jones if the Cowboys could match the offer made by the Denver Broncos on Wednesday. Obviously we know that didn’t happen as Ware is officially signed with Denver. What didn’t sit right with Ware were these comments made by Jones..
“Certainly we recognize that DeMarcus will be 32 in July and he’s had some injuries and his production was down last year,” Dye said. “For those reasons, we were willing to entertain a reduction. But I just don’t think it was going to be to the level that maybe the Cowboys could afford.”

Jones later apologized to Ware, but talk about throwing someone under the bus. And, should Jones even be talking about age? He’s old enough to be Ware’s great-grandfather.
