Could What Happened To DeMarcus Ware Happen To Tony Romo?

Romo’s contract was restructured this year so that the Cowboys could stay within salary cap. This can’t happen year after year. Romo is 34 years-old and likely has already hit his prime. Next year, $27.7 million is the cap number projected for Romo, the highest in the NFL. Many would say.. he’s not worth this price tag. Romo could fall victim to the axe, just like DeMarcus Ware did. I say ultimately, old age, injury risk and too high of a salary could lead to the Cowboys search for a newer, younger model. Time to get shopping, and perhaps start with the 2014 Draft candidates. So, are Romo’s best days behind him?
