Bears LB Danny Trevathan has suspension reduced to one game

Danny Trevathan was not ejected for his illegal hit on Davante Adams, but he should have been

On Tuesday, it was announced that Chicago Bears linebacker Danny Trevathan had his suspension for an illegal hit on Green Bay Packers receiver Davante Adams cut in half.

“After Trevathan appealed the two-game suspension the NFL handed him last week, the league announced today that the suspension has been reduced to one game,” Michael David Smith of Pro Football Talk reported.

Trevathan was originally suspended two games for the hit on Adams during Thursday’s game.

He will serve his suspension for Chicago’s Week 5 home game against the Minnesota Vikings on “Monday Night Football,” and return when the Bears go on the road in Week 6 to take on the Baltimore Ravens.
