The San Francisco 49ers got off to a horrendously rocky start in their opening drive against the Los Angeles Rams Thursday night. It took quarterback Brian Hoyer literally two seconds to throw a ghastly interception right into the hands of cornerback Nickell Robey-Coleman. The pass was intended for wide receiver Marquise Goodwin.
1st play of the game.

Robey-Coleman almost turned the interception into a pick six after taking it for 32 yards. Instantly, the Rams offense hit the field and running back Todd Gurley sealed the deal with a three-yard rushing touchdown.
This type of sloppy play by Hoyer on offense is going to make for a long evening if he can’t turn things around.
