LeSean McCoy on raise: ‘I just want the loot, baby’

LeSean McCoy

The Buffalo Bills gave running back LeSean McCoy an incentive-based raise shortly before the start of the season. When asked about the bump in pay, McCoy kept it real with this classic response.

“I just want the loot, baby,” McCoy said.

Well. We have to give kudos to McCoy for being 100 percent honest. But, we should also remind McCoy there is no “I” in team. It is not all about him when it comes to the Bills trying to win games this season.

The Bills are 1-1 this season and have been up and down through two weeks, much like McCoy himself. In Week 1, McCoy put 100 rushing yards on the board at a pace of 5.0 yards per carry. He also added 49 receiving yards.

Unfortunately in Week 2, McCoy fell flat on his face against the Carolina Panthers. He managed just nine rushing yards on 12 attempts. Neither game saw McCoy score.

But perhaps all of this doesn’t matter as long as McCoy is enjoying his nice, incentive-laden paycheck.
